Texas Rangers General Manager Jon Daniels announced today the club has signed the following players to contracts for the 2007 season: INF Joaquin Arias, RHP Omar Beltre, RHP Scott Feldman, OF Freddy Guzman, LHP A.J. Murray, RHP Alexi Ogando, RHP Josh Rupe, C Chris Stewart, RHP Robinson Tejeda and RHP Edinson Volquez.

Arias split the 2006 season between Triple-A Oklahoma and Texas. He batted .268 with four home runs, 49 RBI and 26 stolen bases with Oklahoma. He made his Major League debut in September and batted .545 (6-11) with a RBI in six games for the Rangers.

Beltre was 2-3, 1.23 in 13 games (nine starts) for the Dominican Summer League Rangers.

Feldman split 2006 between Oklahoma and Texas. He was 0-2, 3.92 in 36 games for the Rangers and 2-2, 1.98 with four saves for the RedHawks.

Guzman was acquired in a mid-season trade with San Diego and spent time with Oklahoma and Texas. He batted .282 with one home run and 14 RBI and 31 stolen bases in 69 games with Oklahoma. He played in nine games for the Rangers and batted .286 (2-7).

Murray missed the entire 2006 season as he recovered from a shoulder injury. He did pitch in the Arizona Fall League this past off-season.

Ogando pitched in the Dominican Summer League in 2006. In his first season as a pitcher he was 5-0, 0.52 with 2 saves in 16 appearances.

Rupe appeared in 16 games for the Rangers in 2006 and was 0-1, 3.41. He also pitched in Oklahoma and Double-A Frisco on rehab assignments.

Stewart was acquired by the Rangers in December of 2006 from the Chicago White Sox. He spent a majority of the 2006 season with Triple-A Charlotte where he batted .265 with four home runs and 28 RBI in 89 games. He saw action in six games for the White Sox and went 0-8.

Tejeda made 14 starts for the Rangers last season and was 5-5, 4.28. He was Texas' Player of the Month for September as he went 2-1, 1.13.

Volquez was 6-6, 3.21 in 21 appearances for Oklahoma in 2006. He also pitched in eight games for the Rangers and 1-6, 7.29.
