Konami Digital Entertainment. today announced that Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets has just released his own branded mobile application powered by Konami's Mobile Division (www.konamimobile.com). After redesigning his official website (www.carmeloanthony.com) and introducing his personalized MySpace Page (www.myspace.com/carmeloanthony) in November, Melo is at it again with the release of Melo Mobile (www.melomobile.com).
Melo Mobile is an application that capitalizes on the convergence of wireless and web technologies. For only $1.99 per month, the Melo Mobile program is downloaded to your mobile phone and features the latest news, statistics, updates, messages, and more on Melo as well as the opportunity to purchase Melo's ring tones and wallpapers.
The most compelling feature of Melo Mobile is a community driven blog application where users, fans, and others can share their thoughts and interact via their own personal blog websites. A blog, short for web log, is a web page dedicated to the personal journal of an individual. Typically updated daily, blogs often reflect the personality of the author. Melo Mobile differs from the typical blog in that it has mobile phone support and adds yet another layer of fan interaction with Melo. For example, at a Nuggets game, use a supporting phone to take a picture, type your text, and post it to your own personal Melo blog. Later you can view and comment on other member's pictures, discuss your favorite plays and react/comment to Melo who will be video bloging from his personal phone.
