The Atlanta, Georgia born, age 23, Block Entertainment/Bad Boy South rap artist Yung Joc, real name Jasiel Robinson has been making hip-hop music since he was ten years old. He has a single out “It’s Goin Down” that’s causing a buzz down south. “My single and what I say on my single “It’s Goin Down” is a perfect representation of my album New Joc City,” said Yung Joc. “When I say “meet me in the mall,” I got songs on the album about stuntin’. When I say “meet me in the trap,” I got songs on the album about the hood. When I say “meet me in the club,” I got songs for the club. So it’s a variety of songs on the album. You can listen to it from beginning to end. It’s something on there for everybody.”
While they are haters in the hip-hop game it seems that Joc is determine to succeed. “My mama named me Joc after the television billionaire on that show “Dallas” that used to come on. She ordained my success back then,” said Yung Joc. “I can still be the greatest even hated. They hated on Jesus.”
One thing is certain; Joc is a hungry upcoming southern artist determined to make that feel good music come into fruition. He shared his thoughts about his upcoming album New Joc City, whichis set for a May 23 release. “Man, I am so into music this is what I do. But outside of music, I enjoy collecting tennis shoes,“ Joc continued. “I was empty-headed. I was high. I didn’t have a thought process, I’m just playin’ (Laughing while sitting at the production boards.) No for real, I was trying to set the pace and bring some fresh air to the game. Not thinking too hard, making good music, and staying focused.”
