Stuntman: Ignition Game Review

Stuntman: Ignition is defiantly a unique game, you basically are a stuntman doing a long set of stunts in a movie set, then after completion, all of the footage of stunts that you did will get spliced together and presented in a mock movie trailer, which is truly awesome.

The basics in Stuntman stays the same as it predecessor, you start off doing low budget work in crappy comedies and b-rated movies, then work your way up to high budget films, were you’ll be doing harder stunts, jumping, riding close to cars and of course bigger explosions, your typical James Bond movie type stuff. One of the mock movie trailers that I’ve enjoyed the most was “Night Avenger” which feels almost like a comic book movie, dare I say it, Batman. That’s right, there is even a clown or circus like villain, and the vehicles in that movie set are among the best in the game. It’s a shame it was only a trailer, cause it would have been fun playing that game as a bonus.

Stuntman Ignition’s mission was to take everything that was great in the first game and clean it up and make it much more user friendly. Those who played the first game would easily tell you about the brutal difficulty curve that the first Stuntman had, it sent many gamers packing. Don’t get me wrong, Ignition is hard, but not to the degree of its predecessor, there’s more forgiveness for the odd mistake this time around.

The online gameplay is an added welcome to the series, the online features are multiplayer racing and multiplayer stunt challenges, both are unique and fun. You could also create your own stunts sets and challenge your friends online.

The game is tremendously fun and additive, I would strongly recommend this game to those who are looking to have fun but not looking to race through this game in a large swoop, it takes a lot of trial and error to truly enjoy the whole experience.
