*****TALKS ABOUT HIS SOPHOMORE ALBUM TITLED "DELIVERANCE*****
SoHood.com: Talk about your Sophomore Deliverance album? Who's featured on it and Production wise? Bubba Sparxxx: "Production wise is Timberland and Organized Noise did most of it. I got Justin Timberlake plus my whole roster of artist is featured you know. I got my own label up and running a little bit, it's in the early stages, so I'm taking it slow." SoHood.com: What can we expect from your album? Bubba Sparxxx: "It's like this time man, it's like when the first time me and Timberland went in and worked together we didn't really know each other, we didn't really have a chemistry we talked on the phone two or three times, and we just hardly knew each other. I think you could go in with a producer and cut one hit you know with no real substance if you don't know the person. But as far as moding an album, I think you really need to know the person a lot better. And we went through a lot together; my first album as an artist and his first time as C.E.O. and we just endured a lot together. I think we got a special bond now, and we really know each other. He knows my vision for music is and I know what his music vision is, and we were able to make that blend. So I think this time we found that chemistry; Bubba and Timberland music chemistry you know ..God bless her soul Aaliyah like a Timberland chemistry."
SoHood.com: Yeah, cause you know Timberland's beats are crazy. Bubba Sparxxx: ’"Yeah, that's what I'm sayin' it's still the same level type of ludricy in his beats on my album, but it's just unique to Bubba Sparxxx."
SoHood.com: I know you probably get this a lot, but why the name Bubba Sparxxx? Bubba Sparxxx: "Well, my family members use to call me little Bubba that's when I was growing up, so that was the easy part, that's just like in the country in the South Bubba is like shorty in New York, it's like a fly nickname in general. And the Sparxxx part; I just came up with it, that's the Hip-Hop element of Bubba I spark it in a minute, if they talkin' about the green, battle, whatever. And the three Xs is the unknown always expect the unexpected."
*****BUBBA TOUCHES ON VARIOUS TOPICS*****
SoHood.com: Anyone you would like to collaborate with? Bubba Sparxxx: "Umm, I'm part of the Dungeon Family now. I grew up pretty much idolize those guys you know Outkast, Goodie Mob, those people inspire me to want to participate in Hip-Hop. I pretty much collaborated with all those guys now."
SoHood.com: Would you ever work with Eminem and Dr.Dre? Bubba Sparxxx: "Hell yeah!! Absolutely!!"
SoHood.com: Besides Hip-Hop, what other types of music do you listen to? Bubba Sparxxx: "I listen to Rock, I like Saliva and I like some country but not too much I like older country more so than the new country. But for the most part, I'm a Hip-Hop head that's my passion for music."
SoHood.com: As far as music in the South, who you Bangin? Bubba Sparxxx: "I'm bangin' Lil' Flip, T.I., my homeboy Killa Mike and my homeboy Bonecrusher. I'ma fan of down south shit period, so anything that's bangin' out the South, I'ma support it."
*****BUBBA TALKS ABOUT TUPAC AND BIGGIE'S INFLUENCE IN HIP-HOP*****
SoHood.com: Who do you feel is the most influential rapper of all-time in Hip-Hop? Bubba Sparxxx: "Right Now?"
SoHood.com: Both, all-time and current. Bubba Sparxxx: "There's no doubt it's Tupac! I mean everybody got a little Pac in them." (Laughs)
SoHood.com: Yeah (Laughs) [Bubba Sparxxx: "But then again in the East Coast, I think, Tupac, inspired everybody on the East Coast, everybody down south, everybody in the West Coast you know what sayin'. Tupac inspired everybody or inspired to imitate him even. I think, Biggie, had that affect in New York and maybe some in the South, but I don't see his influence that much out in the West. I know as far as New York rappers go, you can definitely see a big [Biggie] influence. And I'll tell you whoelse Outkast as far as Southern rappers."
SoHood.com: Any upcoming projects? Bubba Sparxxx: "Me and Lil' Flip are talkin' about doing an underground album together."
SoHood.com: Any last thoughts. Bubba Sparxxx: "EVERYBODY GET READY! BUBBA IS BACK!!" -Interview by Mario Diaz, So Hood Magazine
