Interview with IFL MMA Fighter Jay Hieron
Wednesday, 05 March 2008
Jay Hieron is a Long Island native who found great success as a high school and college wrestler, but after graduation found himself lost. He spent most of his youth walking a fine line between greatness and destruction, and without the guidance of sports, he began to fall victim to his environment. It wasn’t long before Jay ended up in prison and if something didn’t change, the future would only look worse. He eventually discovered a new sport called mixed martial arts and was able to use this sport as a medium to focus his energy more positively. With his new motivation, Jay traveled the long road back up to greatness and recently won the IFL Welterweight Championship.
-Interview conducted by Mario Diaz, So Hood Magazine
