Assassin's Creedon the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles was a great if not an awesome game, so as soon as I hear it was on the DS it was a no-brainer, I had to play it. After the initial shock that the game played sort of like Prince of Persia rather the Assassin's Creedon the Xbox360, I had to give this game a fair shot, even though I had high expectations.
Unlike The Xbox 360 and PS3 game, this is not an open world type game, it's a lot straightforward, it’s a lot of going to point A to point B, where you're pretty much pointed in the direction you need to go. You still have the ability to climb walls and ledges and balance yourself on wooden objects to go across buildings.
For a handheld game, the graphics look good, the environments all have nice details to them. The frame rate is pretty good even when many objects break as you wall on them as roofs will collapse.
The combat system is a little disappointing, to say the least, though you could upgrade your combo skills as the game progresses, you’ll mainly use the same combat mauves over and over. The touch screen elements included aren’t as good as I thought they could have been. Both the pick pocket and pressure point, which are done to those who won’t talk are a little impractical, with the pressure point one being a little too long sometimes, which really turns you off.
The Good: Great graphics and design of levels, You'll get a lot of hours of play out of this game.
The Not So Good: The same enemies level after level, touch screen elements not so fun.
Purchase, Rent Or Just play In A Friends House: I’ll suggest to buy this title, it's a great game.
