This is the type of game I’ve been waiting for, a great co-op that doesn’t really need me to play online for the multiplayer experience. I know the spilt screen aspect may turn off most fans, as it sometimes gets very difficult to see where you are, but as I played alongside my friend I honestly have to admit that playing offline with someone is much better then playing online and waiting for your homie to show. You’ll breeze through the game in no time, which in my opinion it’s a bit too short.
The game really lives up to its name, in that you're going to need your partner in the heat of battle to succeed. You could give your partners orders to either attack or hold down the position and regroup. One interested aspect is that if you shoot off your weapon too much - you start to glow red thus making enemies more aware of you and they’ll start to focus there attacks on you, this is a great way for your partner to sneak in position to attack and vice versa.
I love the graphics in this game, the character models are visually spectacular and look even better when you start to customize them with items that you buy with the money you earn from successful missions. You could upgrade your weapons and armors and even style them with different color schemes. The voice acting is great, especially the playable soldiers, as you’ll feel that they have great chemistry together.
The conversations between both soldiers is a nice touch, one particular converse was about Salem gambling ten g’s on the Dallas Cowboys footballgame, before going into battle, as if he’s not even anxious like it’s just a 9 to 5 job for them.
The Good: Great Co-op game, also nice graphics and design of levels. You'll get a lot of hours of play out of this game.
The Not So Good: The splitscreen aspect, it’s a little short in my book
Purchase, Rent Or Just play In A Friends House: I’ll suggest to buy this title, it's a great game.
