Mariah Carey’s first single off of E=MC² "Touch My Body" earns its first No. 1 position on a Billboard chart as it climbs six places to the top spot on Billboard's Hot 100 Streaming Chart. On the heels of renewing her publishing deal with UMPG, Mariah Carey has released the 11th studio album of her career, E=MC² is the follow-up to The Emancipation Of Mimi, Mariah's worldwide 10 million selling #1 album, which generated three Grammy awards (including Best Contemporary R&B Album), 2 #1 singles and countless more industry honors during its 18-month stay on the charts. Mariah Carey will appear on SNL on March 15th.
Mariah and executive producer, Antonio "L.A." Reid (Island Def Jam Music Group Chairman), approached the creation of The Emancipation of Mimi in a very specific way delivering ballads like "We Belong Together" (which pays homage to the Bobby Womack classic "If You Think You're Lonely Now") that her fans have come to expect while evoking a new sound that will surely broaden her appeal and capture an entirely new audience.
