Universal Music Re-Ups Major Deal With Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters)

UMPG has renewed an exclusive, world-wide publishing agreement with multi-platinum, 4X GRAMMY award-winning, Foo Fighters frontman, Dave Grohl. Commented David Renzer: "Dave Grohl has long been at the forefront of rock, first as a member of Nirvana and now leading the hugely successful Foo Fighters. We are honored to continue our long-term relationship as his worldwide publisher."
In addition to Dave Grohl, Universal Music Publishing Group also represents the music publishing interests of Foo Fighters band members and co-writers Taylor Hawkins and Chris Schiflett. The announcement comes on the heels of the release of the Foo Fighter’s sixth studio album, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace (RCA) which already debuted No. 1 on the UK album charts. The first single “The Pretender” hit No. 1 on Billboard’s U.S. Alternative/Modern Rock chart.
