Nerf N-Strike Recon CS-6 Product Review
Monday, 21 April 2008
Fresh out the box, the Nerf N-Strike Recon CS-6 comes with five interchangeable parts that snap into any configuration you want. When the Recon is assemble in all its glory with the shoulder stock, barrel and both the flip-up sight and dual-mode light beam, it resembles a real life looking gun except it’s colored in a bright yellow with orange trim.

Nerf N-Strike Recon CS-6 comes with 6 darts that fits into the quick reloadable clip. The Streamlined Darts are rubber-covered foam so they are virtually painless when they hit you, which is a plus for parents to know that it's safe for kids to play with.

There are basically three different ways I found to arrange your blaster, one is to remove the shoulder stock and flip-up sight and just leave the barrel and dual-mode light beam. Second is to assemble the shoulder stock and dual-mode light beam. The last one is to not install any parts, leaving just the blaster, maybe install the dual-mode light beam.

The Nerf N-Strike Recon CS-6
is also equipped with a pinpoint targeting light beam scope. The Light Beam Scope helps you to zero in on your target and get a more accurate shot, with two different light beams to choose from it’s a matter of preference.

The Nerf N-Strike Recon CS-6 looks very similar to the Nerf N-Strike Longshot CS-6, which from what I heard and read is a great blaster to own, though both blasters have many different aspects the most glaring is that the Recon is less expensive. The NERF N-Strike Longshot CS-6 is a blaster that can shoot up to 35 feet, but the Recon can’t let it fly that far, it still could shoot upwards of 25 feet. The Recon isn’t a sniper type blaster, it’s more of a lightweight blaster that is perfect for a person that loves to run and shoot.

The NERF N-Strike Recon CS-6 is a quick and easy blaster to assemble that retails for $19.99 in stores that’s a price you can’t beat. I recommend you purchase some extra ammo, the Streamline Darts Refill Pack in a set of 10 for $3.99, also don’t forget the Refill Clip which retails for $4.99. The toy is recommended for children 6 and up.

I would recommend this toy blaster to anyone who is looking for a durable, enjoyable, budget friendly and long lasting toy, you can’t go wrong with the NERF N-Strike Recon CS-6.
