Speed Racer the Next Generation - The Beginning DVD Review

We begin with Speed in which he arrives into a racing academy school where he soon finds out that he has to quickly show that he’s in the same level as his classmates. He quickly befriends Lucy, Conor, and Conor’s robot monkey Chim-Chim. They work together to find clues to solve the disappearance of Speed’s father. They also work on an ultimate racing machine named the Mach 6.
Speed does have his share of enemies. There’s Racer X, his rival and his sibling brother. Then there’s Racer X’s girlfriend Annalise who dislikes Speed very much. She has her own entourage which consist of two annoy twins named Jared and Jesse. With a new gasless engine car named the Marh 6, Speed Racer and Annalise go head to head in a race that ultimately Speed Racer wins.
Overall, the animation is awesome. The extra feature on the DVD is excellent, which include an interactive racing game, deleted scenes and a featurette titled “Creating the next Speed Racer”.
