Going into reviewing this Documentary I was aware of the crisis in Darfur, Sadan. I read several articles on newspapers before watching Darfur Now. The film is written and directed by Ted Braun, the film explores the Darfur conflict through the first-hand experiences of Don Cheadle, Hejewa Adam, Pablo Recalde, Ahmed Mohammed Abakar, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, and Adam Sterling.

The film begins with a Darfurian woman from the rebel forces who tells the viewer that an Arab militia known as the Janjaweed beat her and her kid in which she lost her kid due to that brutal beating. There are six interesting stories, which are well detailed. Don Cheadle and his friend actor George Clooney try getting a bill to pass to help those who are dying from the senseless genocide in Darfur. We have a devoted Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague named Luis Moreno-Ocampo who goes after the people who continue to commit crimes even to this day in Darfur.
Adam Sterling is the director of the Sudan Divestment Task Force, a project of the Genocide Intervention Network. He’s a UCLA graduate in Los Angeles, California. Adam’s humanitarian work clearly paid off when Arnold Schwarzenegger signed two bills that prohibit the state’s pension funds from investing in companies with active business in Sudan and indemnifies the University of California from liability that might result from its divestment from Sudan.
Overall, it’s a well-documented film, and a lot of people should watch it. It really shows you, that if you speak up, just loud enough; you can really make an impact in the world.
