The radio shock jock confessed that the breakup of Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman hit him hard, Usmagazine.com reports.

"Jimmy e-mailed me and said they were going through some tough times. I was so upset I had to go take a walk," Stern admitted on his talk show.

The shock jock revealed on his radio show that he was supposed to vacation with the two this week, but they never showed.

According to Stern, the split was "mutual" and Jimmy said he had "lost his best friend."

Still, Silverman has some good news: She was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for her raunchy tune "I'm F------ Matt Damon."
