Hugh Jackman Confirms ‘The Wolverine’ To Be A Different Movie
In an interview with Total Film, Jackman emphasized that he intended to make this “feel like a completely different X-Men film.” He promised a “whole new visual aesthetic” and a “more character-based” story that won’t be “overloaded with mutants and teams and the like.”
To implement this new approach, Jackman consulted with animation giant Jeffrey Katzenberg and recruited scripter Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote the modern classic ‘The Usual Suspects.’
The result? Jackman said, quote, “I think it’s the best idea we’ve had, the strongest script we’ve had and that now we really have an opportunity to make something really great.”
