‘Kick-Ass 2′ Gets Release Date, According to Deadline, the movie is getting a prime summer release, taking over the spot that was previously held by another comic-turned-movie, R.I.P.D. starring Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges. That film will now hit theaters on July 19th, 2013, which was the release date for the Jurassic Park 3D rerelease which will now hit theaters on April 5th.

In addition to the original threesome returning, the Kick-Ass 2 cast will also include the return of Nicolas Cage as “Big Daddy” in what we assume will be some kind of flashback scene.

Newcomers include John Leguizamo as Red Mist’s bodyguard Javier, Donald Faison as Kick-Ass’s co-superhero Doctor Gravity and Morris Chestnut will take over the role of Hit-Girl’s guardian, Sergeant Marcus Williams.
