It’s a flash back to the past of 2d Platformer, which in itself is a favorite genre of mine, and Wario Land: Shake It stays true to the proven formula on making a great 2d game. The story isn’t that strong but you wont really care too much, as you just want to get in the levels and shake those money bags. The princess has been kidnapped, but Wario doesn’t care, until the mention of bottom less money sags, which fuels Wario into action.

The animation in the game is beautiful, as it’s all hand drawn. The cut-scenes are well drawn, it’s nice and simple, in an era of cut-scenes that go overboard as many games now do. The soundtrack was also at times right in the money as well as it felt short in a few music chooses.

The game isn’t long or immense as far as levels are concerned; it only contains 5 worlds, each containing levels and such. Each with very diverse settings, water worlds, western theme, jungle and lava enriched worlds to name a few.

The boss fights are very easy and fun at first, as the game progresses, it becomes more challenging, but it still keeps that fun factor in tact.

One problem with Wario land is that, it’s too easy, you’ll be able to beat it, in one sit down if your up to it, though the final battle is one, that it’ll take you numerous times to complete the overall game, which felt a bit too easy. The controls in the game felt really easy to execute moves, and very responsive, but I must say that shake that Wii control over and over to pop out the money from the moneybags really made it a pain.

I got too give it to Wario Land , as it’s a short game, but has a strong Replay level to it, I don’t know, why, but it’s the type of game that you’ll play over and over again, even though you’ll beat it numerous times.

Also the fact that you got some extra side missions to complete, which can be done but accomplishing a number of objectives like finishing a level without getting hit, collecting a number of coins, finishing the level at a set time.
