One year later, the Kings and Queens of Narnia find themselves back in that faraway wondrous realm, only to discover that more than 1,300 years have passed in Narnian time. During their absence, the Golden Age of Narnia has become extinct and Narnia has been conquered by the Telmarines and is now under the control of the evil King Miraz, who rules the land without mercy. The four children will soon meet a curious new character: Narnia’s rightful heir to the throne, the young Prince Caspian, who has been forced into hiding, as his uncle Miraz plots to kill him in order to place his own newborn son on the throne. With the help of the kindly dwarf, a courageous talking mouse named Reepicheep, a badger named Trufflehunter and a Black Dwarf, Nikabrik, the Narnians–led by the mighty knights Peter and Caspian–embark on a remarkable journey to find Aslan, rescue Narnia from Miraz’s tyrannical hold, and restore magic and glory to the land.
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is about a young Caspian who is in need of help after escaping his evil and cruel Uncle Miraz who plans on killing Caspian. Then comes Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, the four Pevensie children that are called upon accidentally from Caspian to help him. The movie includes many fantasy character such as talking animals and dwarfs, comic and humorous scenes, and epic war scenes.

The story and plot were very good. I think the idea of the story is very original and unique. However when I watched the movie, the plot and story felt somewhat altered than what was in the book. The movie didn’t really “stick” to the story and plot very well throughout the movie. Ben Barnes who played Caspian did a good job, I didn’t expect as much as I got for a fairly new actor. The only thing I felt awkward about was the Mediterranean accents. They felt unnecessary, however, they were performed well.
The direction of the film, captured every angle accurately. The only thing I felt was awkward was that it took Lucy too long to find Aslan while Peter was fighting King Miraz.
As for the visuals, they were memorable. What I loved most about the movie was the visual scenes with Aslan, etc. And when Lucy had the dream about the trees and the petals flying in the air, I truly enjoyed the beautiful visuals. Aslan looked and was developed good enough to feel real to the eye. Overall, I think it’s worth watching.
