Action drama about an ambitious young race car driver Cole Trickle (Tom Cruise), set against the highly competitive and dangerous NASCAR racing circuit.

If your a NASCAR fan or just like action/drama then this is a good movie to check out. Tom Cruise plays Cole Trickle a young hotshot cocky race car driver who gets on a winning streak then it all comes crashing down after a near fatal crash. Nicole Kidman, she plays a Doctor who takes care of Cole and falls in love with him.

And Robert Duvall should have gotten the Oscar for best supporting actor for his performance of a crew chief. Tom Cruise does just fine in his role as an up and coming driver. The Camera work was cool as real cars were fielded in actual races to secure the footage.

The film is basically in my opinion, a good date movie, the guy gets his action and fast cars and the lady gets her romance.
