Jamie Foxx twisted ankle playing hoops with Harlem Globetrotters. Anthony “Buckets” Blakes says Jamie Foxx is a solid actor and a pretty good basketball player. Blakes, one of the Harlem Globetrotters, was at the Sporting Club at the Bellevue Monday with teammate Anthony “Ant” Atkinson and Comcast-Spectacor exec Eric Nemeth, hoping for a pickup game. They picked Foxx, there working out, and a guy named Jermaine. Away they went, knocking off five straight opponents. “He told me he hasn’t been on a winning team yet,” Blakes told me, giggling about the actor, in town to film Law Abiding Citizen. “He can shoot and he plays defense well. There were a bunch of guys trying to get by him.” The next night, Foxx twisted an ankle, his rep says, and he was limping a bit yesterday. — Philadelphia Inquirer
