KID ROCK AND LYNYRD SKYNYRD BRING BACK “ROCK AND REBELS TOUR”. Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd announce they will join forces again to provide the best show of the summer, reprising last year’s highly successful “Rock and Rebels” tour.  The Live Nation produced tour kicks off in West Palm Beach, FL at the Cruzan Amphitheatre with a 22 market trek through outdoor amphitheaters across the country.  Tickets go on sale beginning March 20th, for specific on-sale dates and additional ticket information go to www.livenation.com.

COCA-COLA SUPER-GROUP SET TO RELEASE “OPEN HAPPINESS”. The Coca-Cola Company and Warner Music Group’s Atlantic Records have come together to record and release a new song featuring some of the hottest acts from the worlds of rock, pop and hip hop. The single features the combined talents of Cee-Lo Green, Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump, Brendon Urie from Panic at the Disco, Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes and acclaimed, Grammy nominated songstress Janelle Monae.The super producers have been responsible for some of the most popular music of recent years and between them have worked with acts such as Usher, Kelis, Pink, Fergie, Pussycat Dolls, Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry.

DAVID PAICH WILL SING TOTO HIT “AFRICA” AT UNITED NATIONS M.D.G. AWARDS. Toto founder, keyboardist, singer and main composer David Paich has been invited to perform at the United Nations for the inaugural Millennium Development Goals (M.D.G.) Awards on March 17. Macy Gray, Akon, Julian and Sean Lennon, K’naan, Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall, Keaton Simon and the National Dance Institute will perform, while Vanessa Redgrave, Armand Assante, Sol Guy and Jonathan Granoff will be among the hosts and entertainers on hand. Presenters will outline the M.D.G.s, explain the Awards program as well as the voting and nomination protocols for what is being called the “Oscars” of world nations.

3OH!3 TO CO-HEADLINE “THE ALTERNATIVE PRESS TOUR 2009”. 3OH!3 has revealed a jam-packed tour schedule, due to keep the Boulder, Colorado-based electro duo on the road through the summer.  First up is a co-headlining role on “The Alternative Press Tour 2009,” slated to kick off on March 20th with an already-sold-out show at Dallas’ House of Blues (see attached itinerary).  3OH!3 – who are currently featured on the cover of Alternative Press’ April issue – will be joined on the trek by a stellar multi-artist bill that also includes The Maine, Family Force 5, Hit The Lights, and A Rocket To The Moon.
