A shattering look at the shifting morals of terrorism and covert torture, Lionsgate’s Five Fingers stars Academy Award® nominee Laurence Fishburne (What’s Love Got to Do with It), Ryan Phillippe (Crash) and Colm Meaney (Layer Cake) in a startling cat and mouse thriller that turns recent prisoner abuse scandals on their head. The Five Fingers DVD special features include the featurette, “Endgame: Inside Five Fingers” and a trivia track, and will be available this July 7!.
Martijn (Phillippe), an idealistic Dutch pianist, travels to Morocco to help start a food program for malnourished children. On Middle Eastern soil, however, he and his British guide Gavin (Meaney) are abducted by terrorists who mistrust Martijn’s altruistic motives. The captors promptly kill Gavin and then begin systematic attempts to extract information from Martijn by cutting off his fingers one at a time. Enduring unimaginable torture, Martijn desperately tries to prove his innocence to the group’s ruthless leader, Ahmat (Fishburne). Forced to question everything, and everyone that brought him to Morocco, Martijn has only one choice: solve the riddle of his captivity or die trying.
Four Horsemen. Four unrelated victims. Four painful secrets. Golden Globe® nominee Dennis Quaid (Far From Heaven) stars in the thrilling film Horsemen, as a recently widowed detective still grieving over his wife’s death who discovers a shocking connection between himself and the suspects in a serial killing spree linked to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Directed by Jonas Akerlund (Spun), a Grammy-award winning veteran video director, the film also features Golden Globe® nominee Ziyi Zhang (Memoirs of a Geisha), Emmy® nominee Clifton Collins Jr. (TV’s “Thief”), Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous) and Eric Balfour (TV’s “24”). The Horsemen DVD includes audio commentary with the director and director of photography as well as deleted scenes, and debuts this June from Lionsgate.
At home, hardened police detective Aidan Breslin (Quaid) has grown increasingly distant from his two young sons since the death of his wife. At work, he finds himself thrust into an investigation of perverse serial killings rooted in the Biblical prophecy of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: The White Horsemen, a master of deception and the unexpected leader hell-bent on conquest; The Red Horsemen, a sharp-witted warrior intent on turning man against man, with an innocence that hides a burning rage within; The Black Horsemen, a manipulative and dark tyrant, unbalanced but always one step ahead; and The Pale Horsemen, an executioner with disarming strength, determined to spread death through surgical precision. As Breslin grapples with each new revelation in the case, he slowly discovers a shocking connection between himself and the four suspects. Horsemen will be available this July 14! Also a Special Edition of Bad Lieutenant with Harvey Keitel will be available July 23!
