Anthony “Sully” Sullivan, longtime infomercial pitchman and co-host of the Discovery Channel’s “PITCHMEN” with friend Billy Mays, released the following statement on the passing of his dear friend and colleague:
“There are no words to describe how I feel about the passing of my great friend and fellow Pitchman Billy Mays. I have a massive hole in my heart. My thoughts go out to his wife, Deborah, son Billy III, and his beautiful daughter, Elizabeth, his mom and dad and his whole family.
Billy and I have known each other for 15 years. We are the greatest of friends. He was the best at what he did — his uncompromising style coupled with his black beard, blue shirt and khaki pants will be embedded in my memory for all time. His uniqueness created an industry that I am proud to be a part of. We were literally joined at the hip for the past six months.
Discovery Channel’s “Pitchmen” was not only a wonderful experience, but also a great opportunity for Billy and I to let people into our world and see what an awesome guy he was in front of the cameras and show our friendship to the world.
There was a lot more to Billy as a person than Billy the Pitchman — he was a loving, caring family man with the heart and roar of a lion. He loved what he did and loved his fans. The overwhelming outpouring of support shows what an amazing individual Billy was.
I’m proud to have had him as a friend. I’ll miss him greatly and I’ll miss hearing him saying, “Hi Billy Mays here… Here’s how to order!”

It’s impossible for me to really wrap my head around the fact that he’s gone. May he rest in peace
Billy Mays may be physically gone. But his spirit and voice will live on forever through thanks to tv and the internet. R.I.P Billy. It sucks to see you go so soon when you were at the top of your game.
Thank you, Billy Mays, and heartfelt condolences to you, Mr. Sullivan, on the loss of your friend.
I really can’t imagine life going on without seeing Billy Mays on TV anymore. He was TV. It just seems like something’s missing from my life now. I’m really going to miss him. I’m glad he got his own TV show at the height of his career before passing. We’ll always remember of him at his zenith. Goodbye Billy. We’re gonna miss you.
you will be remembered as a man of truly great moral fiber and integrity.
A personality is something each person in life projects onto others and leaves an imprint in the world, history and each person’s mind in their own unique little way that that person effected that individual. In my mind the bond and relationsip that You (Mr. Sullivan) and Billy projected in my mind is one that I would hope to have one day with a freind. And in my own little way, armed with the memorys and imprint that you two left in my mind, I know for a fact I will be attempting to recreate the same relationship that you’all had!!!!
More than likely the relationship you’all had will not be able to be matched.
Billy Mays You Will Be Missed!
