G.I. Joe is the code name for Americas highly-trained special missions force. Its purpose: to defend human freedom against Cobra, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world! In 1983 Hasbro made a bold statement when it relaunched its classic toy line of military action heroes as an adventure-based team of unique characters, each with his, and her, own specialties. And because it captured the imaginations and hearts of boys and girls aspiring to make a difference in the world, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero was an immediate success lasting over 25 incredible years. Now you can relive the original animated adventures of Duke, Scarlett, Snake Eyes, Flint, Lady Jaye and rest of the Joe team with this 4-disc DVD set of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, including the first part of the series inaugural season, the three annual 5-part miniseries that started it all: The MASS Device, The Revenge Of Cobra: The Weather Dominator and The Pyramid Of Darkness.

Since a kid I enjoyed watching the G.I. Joe cartoons. In the first episode, to sum it up Cobra develops some sort weapon known as the M.A.S.S. Device.  He even goes as far as to attempt to steal a military satellite. Whether it’s Cobra or G.I. Joe trying to find a way to activate their own M.A.S.S. Device, the plot lines in Season 1.1, delivers some interesting aspects to some degree of real life situations, which are happening in the world today for instances like terrorist. At one point if I recall Cobra plotted to take control of the world’s fuel supplies.

Anyways, Destro’s evil mind of taking Scarlett as a prisoner or Cobra attacking the good guys for out of nowhere to get a powerful laser makes this cartoon worth watching.  G.I. Joe do their best throughout every episode to out witt the bad guys. If you really into war video games, or just like watching heroes like G.I. Joe kick ass, definitely pick this dvd set up.
