If you don’t know by now Wolfenstein 3D, a game released way back in the early 90’s, helped popularize the first person shooter in what you see today. In Wolfenstein you play as BJ Blazkowicz, a highly decorated member of the Office of Secret Actions, you are sent on a special mission into the heart of the Third Reich to investigate evidence that the SS hierarchy may possess a new and mysterious power.

In Wolfenstein, you’ll still be fighting Nazi soldiers with the occasional supernatural Nazi solders. The supernatural Nazi be easy to notice as they have a glow around their bodies in a blue/green-ish color. These enemies are faster and can deliver more firepower, so it becomes more challenging when one is around.

The single play campaign has a good length, seven to eight hours to complete, it’s not too long that it starts to bore you. The boss battles are truly challenging, it will take some trial and error, a few times getting your ass kick, but eventually you’ll know what strategy best suit each boss.

The veil is a paranoia normal powers, in which acts as Wolfenstein best feature. As the vial powers will enable you to slow-down time, shield yourself from enemy harm. You can also open alternate routes, walk though walls or climb latters that without the veil turned on, one can’t see. There are many secret rooms, alleys inside the town to explore.

The weapons and veil powers are upgradeable, with money, that one can find scattered around areas. As many of the weapon don’t pack a punch earlier on, your best bet is to stick with just one particular weapon and fully upgrade it. The conventional weapons themselves are nothing special, its your standard guns, rifles, automatics all from WW2 era. It’s the supernatural Nazi weapons that really catches your eye, especially the Tesla cannon, that literally disintegrates your foes into dust.

The multiplayer mode has your standard Team Death Match, were Two teams fight it out until time runs out. Objective, has one team attacking while the other team tries to defend the final objective. The attacking team must complete the final objective before time expires in order to win. Stopwatch has two teams either attack or defend objective points on the map. After each turn, the two teams switch sides. The team that completes all the objectives quickest is the winner. The online play is nothing really new, but with it’s easy controls, no lag, it becomes very fun to play.

Wofinstein fans wont be disappointed. As the creator still kept that feel of Wolfinstein, not really looking to distance themselves enough to alienate their core fan-base. Simply multiplayer, killing Nazis, strange weapons and a supernatural storyline.
