The Beatles were one of the most commercially successful rock band and critically acclaimed bands in the history of popular music. The Beatles consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. With The Beatles: Rock Band you become the fifth Beatles, as you’ll play as anyone of the famous group members, vocal, drums, bass and guitar.

The Story mode replaces the career mode from past Rock band games, as it follows the young Beatles early on in their career as they start in small venues to the biggest stage venues in the world, TV and stadiums. The Story mode best feature is that you’ll only be ask to play a song once, so in  it’s simplistic form playing all 45 songs once, as your career progresses.

Beatles: Rock Band single limitation is  it’s song list, as there are only forty-five songs on the disk. Many tracks are very familiar with me, as maybe since the  release of downloadable tracks, it’s best to leave some better known songs that people might lean towards purchasing.

There are a lot of  photos and videos included from the Beatles, also some unlockable rare photos and videos which fans will love. Each song has amazing visual variations, as you’ll play in Shea stadium, on stage on The Ed Sullivan Show, in studio in a “Dreamscapes” imaginary world filled with colors and beautiful backgrounds.Your also notice some In-Studio Audio Chatter, in a never before released audio clips featuring conversations from The Beatles’ recording sessions.

The vocal harmonies aspect, with two acting as backup vocals and one being the singer, is something new in the rockband franchise, it does add a little something to the overall rock band experience with friends. It’ll be easier to finish songs with a lot of highs and lows in vocals, cause you figure they’ll be at least someone hitting the right note.

Overall, the game is one that shows the detail, and the respect of the Beatles the developers put into it, as I’m sure the remaining Beatles are proud of, even Yoko Ono too. That leads me to one of the problems with the game, is that it’s solely based on the Beatles, so if you don’t enjoy their music, you’ll probably won’t enjoy singing, drumming and strumming to it either. There is no way around this, no other Rock band songs from other bands can be added to be played, only Beatles songs from the game and ones that can downloaded.
