Overview: When high-powered book editor Margaret faces deportation to her native Canada, the quick-thinking exec declares that she’s actually engaged to her unsuspecting put-upon assistant Andrew, who she’s tormented for years. He agrees to participate in the charade, but with a few conditions of his own. The unlikely couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family and the always-in-control city girl finds herself in one comedic fish-out-of-water situation after another. With an impromptu wedding in the works and an immigration official on their tails, Margaret and Andrew reluctantly vow to stick to the plan despite the precarious consequences.

When the Boss lady Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) is being fired cause she is illegally in the United States. She gets her assistant Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) to go with a scheme where he marries her so she can be a U.S. Citizen. Honestly, there wasn’t much laugh out loud moments from beginning to end, both Margaret and Andrew personalities match because they take themselves way too serious especially Margaret. But then again, there was Margaret and the stripper, Margaret and the dog/eagle, Margaret and Gammy when Margaret let’s her guard down in the woods and starts rapping and dancing.
Now I’m not hating on them, I thoroughly enjoyed the interaction between Andrew and Margaret. Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock are two of my favorite actors. It’s was still an enjoyable movie but I caution you guys to not get your hopes up thinking it’s a whole lot of comic relief jokes going on in the film because there isn’t. As far as the script goes it was perfect overall very strong.
