Magnacarta 2 is one of the more most simple and easiest JRPG’s I’ve played, but I mean that in a good way, as there isn’t many weapons that one has to shuffle around and constantly have to upgrade, purchase and equip. Grinding is somewhat not really needed, as the level of characters and enemies are always similar to each other, which doesn’t affect the game play.

The gameplay, of Magnacarta 2 is straightforward as with all RPG, go into a nearby town, help solve some problems that will lead to some quests. The quest often doesn’t interfere with the main storyline, as they’re mostly connected at times. The characters themselves are magnificently designed, as well as the environments, which are stunning as well. The graphics is what stands out the most, as its the best graphics I’ve seen on an RPG this year.

The battle system, in Magnacarta 2 is a team-based combat, as Players control one member of a party of three, while the AI controls the other two active members. The player can swap to another member of the party, at any given time. Every character exerts stamina every time they attack or do a special move. When the stamina bar fills up, the character gains a significant bonus to damage for the rest of their sequence, but then enters an Overheat status, they become tired and can’t attack until they regain some stamina back.

One issue, is that the party AI isn’t very good, often won’t help you in combat as you’ll like them too. The combat charters tend to draft in back of the pack, rather then jump in front of the battle, as the characters with arrow, Fires anything with projectiles, tend to get to close to combat.

The game has a very simple way of making you handle weapons, and items. Each character has a choice of two weapons that they can use, a piece of armor, and two accessories. Each character only has two options of techniques they can use, like Argo, he can use a hammer or an axe, so you don’t really have to worry too much on equipping the best weapons on your party members, as each technique will only vary a bit. You’ll choose from have a character shoot projectiles or switch to swinging a weapon.

Overall, Magnacarta 2 is a fun and easy RPG to play, as every is just simplified, with Great team-based combat and Spectacular visuals, making it a game for anyone to enjoy.
