Overview: Gerard Butler stars as Kable, condemned criminal and globally famous super-soldier in the ultimate multiplayer game, “Slayers.” Human controllers direct each thought and move of real-life prison inmates battling in hyper-intense environments – where the goal is freedom and the penalty is death. But when Kable suddenly decides he wants out, his rebellion threatens the twisted plans of game creator Ken Castle (Michael C. Hall, TV’s “Dexter”), who will stop at nothing to crush the renegade commando in this taut, adrenaline-packed action-thriller.

Gerard Butler (“Kable,” left) and Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges (“Humanz Brother,” right) star in Lionsgate Home Entertainment’s Gamer.
The film titled Gamer that stars Gerard Butler and Michael C. Hall of ‘Dexter’ fame. Gerard Butler plays Kable, a death-row inmate turned video game character for a game known as ‘Slayers’ in which players can control an inmate a battle for 30 sessions for their freedom. However, Kable only wants to see his family again and Ken Castle (Hall), will do anything to prevent him from doing that.
The plot was really interesting and thought provoking. The action scenes were great if you like seeing heads get shot off. I do have 3 complaints though. First, i really didn’t care for the way the story was told. The movie doesn’t really flow like an ordinary film. It kinda jumps around, I really can’t explain it, you’ll have to see it for yourself. Secondly, all of the nudity wasn’t needed. After the first few scenes, you get the point. I don’t need to see small tits for two hours. Finally, like with most movies I watch, I didn’t care too much for the ending. it seemed rushed.
In a nutshell, in terms of plot, “Gamer” is identical to the movie “Death Race. Basically in the film, gamers can pay to control real humans who are on death row in a giant shoot ‘em up type area that is televised. The prisoners who survive 30 matches get pardoned.
