What can you say about Jay Mohr, the guy is funny. I’ve watched this guy evolve throughout the years from SNL to till now and I must say he has accomplished a great deal. In Gary Unmarried, he’s a family man, although he’s not married he has responsibilities to take care of his children. One of my favorite episodes is titled “Gary Breaks Up His Ex-wife and Girlfriend” mostly because to some degree all men or women don’t want their new relationship to know about what took place with their previous relationship. Gary does what it takes to break up the friendship between his ex-wife Allison and his new relationship Vanessa from ever having one.
The show is cleverly written by the TV writers which ultimately makes this show work. Each episode for the most part, deals with Gary raising his children and him trying to deal with his ex-wife. Every episode is different from the previous one, and you get to learn more about Gary as a father.
I really would suggest to take a look at the bonus material. We get to see bloopers From Season One, and great featurette titled Tuesday On The Set With Jay Spend A Day On The Set Of GARY UNMARRIED With Jay Mohr. We also get to see a behind the scenes all-access tour where the cast speaks on their chemistry and how they make it work on screen. Overall, there’s nothing I can complain about I laughed my ass off, watching these episode of Gary Unmarried Season 1.
