Saturday Night Boxing Results: Adamek, Johnson, Valero

Former IBF light heavyweight champion Glen Johnson stopped Yusaf Mack at 2:21 of the sixth round Friday night. Johnson (50-13-2, 34 KOs) knocked down Mack (28-3-2) three times in the sixth, with the final one ending the fight. Johnson weighed in at 173 pounds and Mack came in at 175.

Edwin Valero of Venezuela retained his WBC lightweight belt by stopping Mexico’s Antonio DeMarco on Saturday night. Edwin made Antonio quit on his stool. The Antonio’s corner couldn’t stand to see no more, so they threw in the towel.

Tomasz Adamek beat Jason Estrada by unanimous decision in a heavyweight fight in his return to the Prudential Center in Newark. The three judges score card were 115-113, 116-112, and 118-110. Adamak is most likely to face Chris Arreola on April 24 on HBO. -Mark Torres, SoHood.com, So Hood Magazine

    Valero is already top 10 pound 4 pound easy. Who has that much skill, power, defense and heart as this guy. Thank god for youtube.
