Overview: Disney celebrates a modern-day classic from the directors of The Little Mermaid and Aladdin. Discover what really happened after the princess kissed the frog in an inspired twist on the world’s most famous kiss. This hilarious adventure leaps off the screen with stunning animation, irresistible music and an unforgettable cast of characters. Enter Princess Tiana’s world of talking frogs, singing alligators and lovesick fireflies as she embarks on an incredible journey through the mystical bayous of Louisiana. Spurred on by a little bit of courage and a great big dream, these new friends come to realize what’s truly important in life…love, family and friendship. Overflowing with humor and heart, The Princess and the Frog is an incredible motion picture experience your whole family will want to enjoy again and again!

Tiana (voiced by Anika Noni Rose) is a waitress at a restaurant her dreams as a child was to one day own her own restaurant. She works very hard saving up money to accomplish her dream. Then enters Prince Naveen (voiced by Bruno Campos) into the picture who has left his country to find himself as a person. But evil lurks as Dr. Facilier (voiced by Keith David) sees an opportunity for him to take over the city by using his voodoo magic on Prince Naveen’s disgruntled assistant Lawrence. After Dr. Facilier succeeds on transforming Lawrence into Prince Naveen, so that his plans of having Lawrence marry the town’s wealthy Southern sugar mill owner Eli “Big Daddy” La Bouff, father of Charlotte La Bouff, he made the Prince Naveen into a frog.
Then with a at party event where Tiana is serving her food, she wishes upon a star for her prince. That’s when a frog appears, which is Prince Naveen. He tells her to kiss him, so he can be brought back to a human form again, in exchange he will help her financially with the restaurant that she always wanted to run since a child. But after she goes through by kissing the Prince, she then turned into a frog herself.
From then on we get to see the frog couple go through a lot to find a way to become humans again. Along the way, we meet a Cajun firefly named Ray (Jim Cummings) and a trumpet-playing alligator Louis (Michael-Leon Wooley) they were very entertaining. Without giving too much away, I’ll just say that I really enjoyed watching this film, it was very well done. This is why Disney is the best when it comes to kids films, cause even if you’re an adult you can still enjoy a wonderful story.
