Overview: Two detectives investigating a gang-related crime find themselves targeted by both gang members and crooked cops.
Caught in the Crossfire is really one of those films that took a while to develop. Briggs (Chris Klein) and Shepherd (Adam Rodriguez) look into a gang-related crime where a cop is killed. In the film, 50 Cent is a C.I. (Criminal Informant) which by the way he doesn’t last long in the first scenes he gets killed. Don’t worry, 50 Cent is still part of the film but not much, so I didn’t spoil anything, the film starts off backwards and then leads up to the true killers at the very end. Without giving away too much, I’ll just give you guys my overall impression of the film.
We go back and fore with scenes in the interrogation room where Detectives Briggs (Chris Klein) and Shepherd (Adam Rodriguez) give their stories of how everything played out to their superiors Captain Emmett (Richard T. Jones) and Lieutenant Michaels (Michael Matthias). At times, I felt like shutting off this film and watching it later, but I wanted to know how it ended, it kept me entertained, I give it that. There’s a few action scenes at the very ended, so we get to see a shoot out.

The acting cast were all right but not great. I don’t know maybe because the film is low budget and the script leaves the viewer (such as myself) bore I couldn’t enjoy this film. As far as the camera work, it was done well. The locations were nice, it just felt like it was missing a lot of stuff to really make the film much pleasant to watch.
