I normally wait about two weeks or so, when I’m writing a review on a product, to fully test the product thoroughly that I’m reviewing, and it’s been nothing but a lifesaver, as the charge does stay on for many hours, from using it.

The NiMH rechargeable battery fits perfectly on the Xbox controller, as it locks in place. What more can you ask for? You get to two charge packs, say two Xbox controllers can recharge. Already, you’re saving money, instead of having to go out and purchase another charging unit to charge two controllers.

One small issue is that the controllers have to be on the charge base to charge. The charge base is a great place to store your controller or controllers when not in use too, as the controller fits securely in its charge base. Also, the lights in front of the charge base light up to a color red when it’s charging, when it’s charging the light turns green, to indicate that’s it’s working, then finally when the pack is fully charged, the light turns off.

Extremely fast charging, I’ve left the battery almost completely depleted, and its been able to fully charge within 1.5 – 2 hours, but if you’re in a hurry, and don’t want to wait, a quick 30 minutes or so to charge will have sufficient enough battery life for a couple hours.

Overall, the Xbox 360 Charge Base made by Nyko is simply the best battery charger on the market, as it’s Charge base also holds two controllers in place, giving you a nice place to put your controllers when not in use. The batteries charge fully and last long. You can’t go wrong with this purchase as you’ll save money, from having to buy batteries every week or so. -Product reviewed by Mario Diaz, So Hood Magazine, SoHood.com

About: Charge Base 360 comes with two custom NiMH rechargeable batteries and a charge base. It was developed and produced by Nyko for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Console. It retails for $29.99 USD

Nyko Core Pak comes with a Wand Wireless Controller for Wii and a Trans-Port enabled Kama Wired Analog Controller with Rumble. The neat thing is that both have full force feedback, which is always a plus in my book. The Vibration/rumble aspect is very important, as both controllers will vibrate, many folks might not care, but I do.

The Wand is about the same size as a standard Wii Remote, but upon close, a closer look, you’ll notice some visual differences, like the changes of the buttons including the Menu button to a square shape on the Wand.

The nunchuck, which Nyko calls Kama, is considerably larger than the standard Nintendo Wii nunchuck, as you’ll notice once you firmly hold it in your hands. A great addition is that the back portion is coated in a non-slip surface, a rubber that makes it easier to hold the controller when you hands get sweaty .The buttons on the Kama also have larger buttons then the Wii nunchuck version, making it easier to press them.

The controller buttons feel like Nintendo Wii version, as it isn’t any less or more responsive, the overall quality of the buttons do feel as if it will last the normal amount of mashing a normal person will inflict on it.

Overall, the Nyko Core Pak is a great option for those looking for a cheaper alternate then buying the Nintendo Wii controllers, but it won’t feel cheap, as you’ll be getting a great wand and Kama worth it’s value. -Product reviewed by Mario Diaz, So Hood Magazine, SoHood.com

Let me begin by telling you guys that after I watched the film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, which I might add it was very entertaining, it made me appreciate these figures even more. Some I’ve opened but the majority of the toys I’ve brought are kept sealed in Protective cases. I’ve gathered a lot information from several reviewers online as well as my staff writers opinions, and for the most part, I enjoyed their insights. The following list for The Rise of Cobra 3.75 Action figures is based on the release of the first- five Waves. The G.I. Joe action figures were graded for its all around articulation for pose ability, durability, color paint job, G.I.Joe accessories and overall design. -Article written by Editor-in-Chief Edwin Diaz, So Hood Magazine SoHood.com

Lawyers for Amaru Entertainment scored a major victory against Morgan ...

Lawyers for Amaru Entertainment scored a major victory against Morgan Creek Productions in the Superior Court for the State of California on Tuesday, September 1, when Judge Richard E. Rico ruled in their favor and upheld Amaru Entertainment’s cross-complaint for tortious intentional interference. A trial date has now been set for Tuesday, April 13, 2010.

Skip Miller of Miller Barondess, LLP in Los Angeles, attorney for Amaru Entertainment, said “We are pleased with the court’s ruling yesterday morning. It supports our claim that Morgan Creek tortiously interfered with the making of the Tupac Shakur movie. I look forward to trying this case and have the jury decide the matter. Morgan Creek has a history of bullying people into giving them rights they did not acquire. This time, they picked on the wrong people.”

The litigation started when Morgan Creek filed suit against Amaru Entertainment in February this year, alleging that the company had “backed out of negotiations” and was currently “refusing to honor and perform a contract of a production for a film based on the life of Tupac Shakur.” In actuality, there was never any agreement as key deal terms had never been agreed upon between the parties. This was a scheme by Morgan Creek to bully Amaru Entertainment into doing a movie with them and interfere with Amaru Entertainment’s negotiations for the film with other studios.

In the ruling yesterday, the court held that Amaru adequately stated a claim against Morgan Creek for interference by making “intentional misrepresentations of fact to third-party studios claiming to own the film rights and threatening them to back off on further negotiations with Amaru Entertainment.”

With the upcoming release of the mega-hit movie franchise, BRING IT ON: FIGHT TO THE FINISH, which will be available on DVD and Blu-ray September 1st . The film showcases daring athletics, fierce competition and hot young stars, including Grammy-nominated recording star and actress Christina Milian!

You can’t help but to look back at all the past dance sequences in films. My favorite dance sequence is on the 2006 release of Bring it On: All or Nothing, which featured R & B singer /actress Solange Knowles and actress Francia Raisa in the lunch room cafeteria where both girls show off their dance skills to actress Hayden Panettiere on top of a lunch room table.

Dance films are just made for dance offs. The best dance sequences seem to come during a dance off. If you’ve seen the film You got Served, which features Marques Houston and Omarion, they call out their opponents in a dance off battle for the most part through out the entire film. I can recall even South Park had a funny episode mocking the two brothers Marques and Omarion and Lil Kim. It’s no wonder why dance flicks are so entertaining because not too long ago, you had the film titled Dance Flick by the Waynes brothers, which poked fun for the most part at all the dance flicks.

But dance movies can be box office hits and potentially a way for young dancers to find new moves for their routines. From past releases from the Bring it On franchise to Step Up and Save the Last Dance, dance movies have seem to taken on a whole new life-form. -Mario Diaz, So Hood Magazine SoHood.com

G.I. Joe The Rise Of Cobra Destro (Weapons Supplier) Figure. The Figure is decked out in a gray general uniform, and comes equip with a pistol, rifle, shoulder holster and missile launcher with missile.

One cool accessory that is that the rifle breaks apart. And that one of the pistol can fit in the removable shoulder holster. The missile launcher is pretty cool looking, as it’s not the regular green missile that most of the cobra figures comes with, as this one has a yellow tip to it, making it seem hot, flaming.

The head sculpture is actually pretty good, silver with great detail, as it has Hollowed out eyes. It sucks that the mask isn’t removable. The figure has a nice range of motion, legs, knees. But the uniform he’s wearing has restricted his movement a bit, not the most smoothest figure in the G.I. Joe The Rise Of Cobra toyline.

Description: Destro is the arrogant, egotistical founder of M.A.R.S. Industries and like his ancestors, a brilliant designer of military weapons that he sells to the highest bidder. His burned face is repaired with an injection of nanomites that heals the burns but changes the skin into a silver mask. -Reviewed by Mario Diaz, SoHood.com

The G.I. JOE THE RISE OF COBRA STEEL CRUSHER A.P.V. ...

The G.I. JOE THE RISE OF COBRA STEEL CRUSHER A.P.V. comes loaded with a missile launcher, removable Iron Plow attachment and a Cobra figure named Nitro-Viper.

I’m a huge G.I Joe fan, one that saw the cartoon series in the 80’s and brought the toys, but far from some sort of expert, so excuse me if I don’t remember who Nitro Viper was. I’m just putting him down as a general solider, that is included with the vehicle. The figure uniform is a dark blue with a clear visor that is removable as well as the vest that is also removable.

The STEEL CRUSHER A.P.V comes with nice rubber wheels, it’s a nice touch, as so many company’s might have gone with the traditional hard and plastic wheels, here the soft rubber really adds to the overall feel of quality to an already wonderful G.I. Joe Vehicle.

The vehicle seems very durable, as it could take some pounding, some of which have to be reasonable. Not a baby slamming the heck out of it, just the occasional dropping it, tumbling, or crashing into other toy vehicles.

Description: The STEEL CRUSHER Armor Plated Vehicle (A.P.V.) tears through the Paris streets on a mission of destruction: to release the nanomite weapon and destroy the Eiffel Tower! The NITRO-VIPER blasts through traffic at top speed and smashes past obstacles in his way, but he can’t shake the G.I.JOE team that’s determined to stop him. -Reviewed by Mario Diaz, SoHood.com

G.I. JOE THE RISE OF COBRA CONRAD “DUKE” HAUSER Desert ...

G.I. JOE THE RISE OF COBRA CONRAD “DUKE” HAUSER Desert Ambush. The Figure is decked out in desert camouflage, and comes equip with a pistol, rifle, backpack, helmet, missile launcher and a green grenade of some sort, I think.

One cool accessory that is also included is the stand to put the figure on, rather then just have a plain and boring stand, it’s actually a dog tag, that has Duke’s information on it, well only his name, code name and that he’s from the united states, and the word classified on it.

The head sculpture actually resembles the likeness of Channing Tatum, the actor that plays Duke in the movie. The figure has a nice range of motion, legs, knees. The arms and elbows become easier to move once his outer jacket is removed, leaving more room to truly extend the arms around.

Description: Before joining the G.I. JOE* team, Major CONRAD “DUKE” HAUSER served as a special forces army captain. He commands a military convoy protecting M.A.R.S. Industries’ nanomite weapon prototypes. What the Major doesn’t know is that his convoy is heading straight into a terrible trap. The enemy is waiting to ambush them as they roll through the desert.

G.I. JOE THE RISE OF COBRA BARONESS Attack on the G.I. JOE Pit. Baroness has plenty of cool accessories, included are two small Pistols, a Briefcase that is capable of open and closing, Sunglasses, Grappling Hook, missile launcher and a stand.

The stand is not as cool or fancy as Duke’s was, as this one is pretty plain, the Cobra logo and just the name Baroness label on the front and two foot pegs to hold the figure.

I don’t know about the face sculpture on this one, as maybe the whole glasses part may have affect the way the facial features turn out.

The figure itself is smaller then the regular male G.I. Joe’s, as her limbs are way skinner. She has wide range of motion on all movable parts, legs and arms. The hole on the thigh enable one to put the other pistol when not in use.

Description: BARONESS Anastasia Decobray is as dangerous as she is beautiful. A master spy for COBRA and a powerful, high-ranking figure at M.A.R.S. Industries, she carries out her plans with icy efficiency.-Reviewed by Mario Diaz, SoHood.com

The Fed Ex deliveryman came this afternoon, I was excited to unwrap my package, which contained a bottle of Tequila 1800 Select Silver. I didn’t just pop it, open right away, I kept it in the refrigerator to chill overnight then had some friends come over. We used different recipes, which were provided to me. But I took a straight shot of the Tequila 1800 Select Silver and it went down easy. The taste was better than I expected.

The bottle is unique in its own way that you can pour a shot by flipping the bottle upside down, I highly recommend the Tequila 1800 Select Silver for those who haven’t tried it to get some for yourself and your friends for a party or what have you. -Mario Diaz, So Hood Magazine

Don’t forget to enter for a chance to:

Info regarding Tequila 1800 Select Silver
Tequila aficionados have a new benchmark for velvety smoothness and clean, crisp taste: 1800 Select Silver, the super-premium Tequila launching in April from Proximo Spirits.

Super-smooth and 100-proof, this 100-percent agave Tequila, is the latest addition to the 1800 Tequila range — the pioneer and now, most successful brand of super-premium Tequila. It is double-distilled for perfect clarity and blended with a touch of aged Tequila, a process unusual for a silver Tequila, producing superbly nuanced taste for discerning Tequila cognoscenti. 1800 Select Silver Tequila will captivate consumers’ growing affinity for high-end silver tequila.

Special Thanks to Walter Schmidli for making it happen!

The BuzzBee Water Warrior Pulse Series includes, The Pulse Master, ...

The BuzzBee Water Warrior Pulse Series includes, The Pulse Master, The Pulse Strike and The Pulse Blaster. The series of the Pulse water blaster features a futuristic styling, unlike anything BuzzBee has put out. The blasters relay on the Air pressure system– pump the handle several times until the pressure chamber is full, then just shoot.

Buzz Bee Pulse Master Water Blaster
Here’s the master of the Pulse Series, as it’s able to hold up to 76 oz. of water in its reservoir, which will weight round 9 pounds when filled. Lucky for you, the blaster includes a nice sturdy shoulder strap to help you carry it around. Surprisingly, the Pulse Master has a good blasting range, around 30-35 feet of distance. If it’s a healthy amount of water in your tank, and power in your shot you want, then you can’t go wrong with the Pulse Master. Just as advertised, only 5-6 pumps to reach maximum power.

Buzz Bee Pulse Strike Water Blaster
It has a nice weight and nozzle, when pumped to its maximum, it has a nice range, as it said to reach around 30 feet. The tank itself holds around 55.Oz of water, which will weight around 5.5 pounds when it filled to the max. Nice grip on the trigger and smooth pump handle make it and easy to shoot and recharge. Just as advertised, only 4 pumps to reach maximum power.

Buzz Bee Pulse Blaster Water Blaster
It’s a compact version of the Pulse Strike, with less water capability in the reservoir. It only features a single nozzle, unlike the rest of the pulse series. I love the trigger and the handle and as well as the pump handle, as it feels smooth and yet sturdy. Just as advertised, only 3-4 pumps to reach maximum power.

Any of the three water blasters will make a great choice, as it’s just your preference on which you prefer to drench your friends with, a larger blaster with more water, a medium size with slightly less smaller water tank, and a far lighter blaster with less water to carry around, thus making it easier for one to run around with.

What I love about this microphone is that it actually works. When I recorded my voice on the microphone, the playback of my voice sounded crisp. It’s a great gift to give to any little girl or fan of Hannah Montana’s music.

Ages 6+, Suggested Retail Price: $14.99

Hannah Montana: The Movie doll and horse accessory pack.

The Hannah Montana doll is fashionable with her glamour’s Hollywood persona, with the shirt featuring a bedazzle style glitter to them, that really makes it shine in the light.

The Horse has a nice and smooth mane to which a girl can comb its hair with the Guitar like comb. The only drawback to the horse is that it’s not positionable, really a shame cause it’s a nice quality Horse, right down to the saddle.

Includes: Hannah Montana with fashion, One horse with saddle, 1 pair of shoes, 1 earrings, 1 brush and 2 stickers. Ages 6+, Suggested Retail Price $29.99

Final verdict: The overall quality of The Hannah Montana Dolls are surprisingly great, as each of the Dolls’ hair fabic are smooth and very easily to comb through. Each Hannah Montana doll comes with nice accessory, with a guitar comb being the most common.

All of The Hannah Montana Dolls slightly, with its best effort resembles this famous singer, as they did a great job of reproducing her flashy style, makeup and bright smile. Any Miley Cyrus fan would defiantly enjoy these toys. -Written by Mario Diaz, SoHood.com

Buzz Bee’s Water Warriors Equalizer Water Blaster is a lighter, ...

Buzz Bee’s Water Warriors Equalizer Water Blaster is a lighter, smaller version of Buzz Bee’s Vindicator Water Blaster, with no selectable nozzles, no shoulder strap. Its a must have for younger kids to use, as it’s simple and lightweight. Buzz Bee Equalizer Water Blaster Is a nice affordable water blaster, for those on a tight budget.

Features an air pressure system, which must be pumped in order to build up power in-between several shots. Once it’s had sufficient enough pumps, the Equalizer can blasts water over 30’ feet away.

The overall weight of the water blaster when filled is 4 ½ pounds, so it’s light enough to hold with one hand. Holding up to 39 oz. of water means that you have enough water or shots in your tank to hold you for a good water fight, also I always had a belief that the small the tank the more powerful the blaster.

Just for the parents: (something I always include in my reviews of water blasters) Buzz Bee Equalizer Water Blaster has 3 bright colors, with a bright yellow being the main color, and light blue colored water tank and pump handle and a bright orange nozzle, so it’s safe to say no-one is going to mistake it for a real one.
