NFL rookies pick their Madden19 Ratings

This is a fun promo video. If I was a rookie, I’ll like to think my rating would be good, heck 85 ovr and above.

Saquon Barkley, New York Giants, 82 OVR: Ranking behind only offensive lineman Quenton Nelson among all rookies, Barkley has the intangibles to quickly become a hot commodity for the G-Men and for Madden.

An effective balance of Speed (92) and moves (91 Juke) make Barkley the player of choice for the Giants’ ground attack. He may be beneath veteran Jonathan Stewart on the depth chart, but his intangibles give him elite-level potential.

Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Cleveland Browns 81 OVR: Well, the Browns drafted a QB. Again. While that might be a bit of a broken record for the Dawg Pound, this roster is showing tremendous promise. Coach Hue Jackson might want to ease him into a starting role, but the team clearly believes in Mayfield as their future investment.

An 81 Speed doesn’t make Mayfield the fastest QB we’ve seen, but pair that with a 95 Throw Power, 88 Throw on the Run, and accuracy scores in the 80s at Short, Medium and Deep ranges means he’s not completely reliant on pocket protection to be a playmaker.
