Darksiders: Warmastered Edition Game Review

Darksiders is a third-person action-adventure game. The story is centered around the tale of the apocalypse, were you play as War, one of the Four Horsemen. The story begins as War is summoned, he arrives to find the apocalypse has started as demons and the Hellguard fight while humanity is destroyed.

War is told that the seven seals was not broken, and is blamed for the ordeal. War is given a second change and sent back to earth to find out what exactly happened. In Darksiders 2, the storyline is connected, as Death is trying to clear his bother War of the crimes from the first game.

Both games are very similar, both in weapons, gampelay, puzzle solving. Darksiders 2 is a more polished game, both in gameplay and graphics and overall more fluid.

I was a fan of the first Darksiders game, I never got a chance until now to play the sequel. It was a real shame that the trilogy never finished, I wish the rest of the other houseman’s story got told through game releases.

Closing Comments: This is a great collection for fans of hack and slash games.

Dead Rising 4 Game Review

Frank West is back as the protagonist in Dead Rising. Frank now teaches journalism at a college, were one of his students Vick, lies to him about going out to play mini golf. In actually, she wants frank to help here uncover a tip she got of something weird happening in Willamette.

Frank is still spewing plenty of quips and one-liners throughout the gameplay. This time around Frank’s camera has got a few upgrades, thermal and night vision. It helps aide in investigations. The camera is still fun, taking pictures of enemies, people and selfies with zombies is an art onto itself.

One huge difference in this game from past Dead Rising games is that the 72 hours timer has been removed. I actually like how they removed the 72 hour timer as it now gives you time to fully explore the world. I felt that I didn’t have to rush around, I can now mow down zombies on my own pace.

Killing zombies is what the game is about, it’s the different ways you kill hordes of zombies that make the game so fun. The game does an excellent job of making sure that you’ll always in action, it’s never a dull moment, only when you talk and have to do some investigation. The gameplay is engaging and enjoyable, the Christmas themed mall hit’s it perfect.

Frank has a ton of outrageous weapons he can craft by combining two objects. Glass Knuckles, Blambow, Ice Chain Gun, the list goes on. There is also an Exo suit that can be equipped, that will allow you to carry powerful weapons only accessible while the suit is equipped. One thing the game does so well, is that there is also a variation of ways to kill.

The leveling up system gives you a reason to keep grinding, as the skill points will help you increase health and other attributes. You’ll level up pretty fast, it’s really not a grind. I was able to spend a handful of skill points in the skill tree in the first half hour.

Closing Comments: Dead Rising 4 is a fun and addictive game.

HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset Review

So you finally got yourself a PlayStation 4 Console and the games you wanted along with a nice high-definition TV. The next must-have purchase is a gaming headset to further enhance your gaming experience. This is the first Headset I’ve tried for the PlayStation 4. If you’re interested in a quality headsets under $100 then the HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset is what you’ll looking for.

Here is a rundown of the features for the HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset for the PC, mobile and the PS4:

Hi-Fi capable 53mm drivers for supreme audio quality
15 – 25.000 Hz frequency response
Detachable microphone (quick and easy to plug/unplug for music-only purposes)
Solid aluminum construction for durability and stability
Super-soft padded leather headband with memory foam on cups for maximum comfort
Closed cup for enhanced bass reproduction and passive noise cancellation
Compatible for desktop, notebooks, mobile phones, PlayStation 4, and airplane adaptors

The headset will greatly improve your game experience, as you’ll become more aware of your surroundings, you’ll hear nearby gunfire, footsteps that will aide you in battle. If you are a First Person Shooter Player, then you are probably familiar with players waiting to hear footsteps in order to pinpoint your location, now you can turn the tables, as the sounds that come through is so clear and loud that it can greatly help you gain the upper hand in many battles.

Sound Quality: I loved the booming mic, as it picks up your voice loudly, meaning that I didn’t have to shout when speaking into the mic, I could play late-night with confidence knowing that I could hold a conversation while speaking softly into the mic. While Playing numerous games, watching movies and listening to music on my iPad for a couple of days now, the headset did a excellent job of transmitting a lot of depth through the headsets. It also sounded extraordinary on the Playstation 4 while playing some video games.

Durability: The build quality of the headset is solid, as you’ll notice that it’s made to fit a variety of sizes. The headset itself consists of a large white pair of headphones, and a detachable mic that plugs under the left ear cup. The headphones have large comfortable over-the-ear cups, with a white HyperX Cloud logo on either side.

The ear cups are heavily padded for comfort, which means it won’t leave your ears in pain after a long session of gaming. Another nice feature is the addition of a softer set of ear cushions, just in-case you damage the cups from wear and tear or you may prefer velour ear cushions.

The cord isn’t too thick but since it’s braided I find this type to be durable. The length of the cord runs pretty long if you attach the extension cord, giving you a good amount of cord to play with.

The Headset comes with a easy to use control box, which includes the controls for the volume, on and off for the mic, and a pause/mute button. Assembling the headset to play with your PS4 is easy, only a few cables to connect together followed but connecting a cable from the headset to the mic plug on the PS4 controller, and you’re done.

Where to Buy: The price value for the HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset will run you at a retail price of $89.99 dollars and it’s well worth it. Also if you’d like to check out some other Hyperx products, you may visit the Official Website: www.kingston.com

Packaging: Along with the Headset, it came with a Removable Microphone, velour ear cushions, control box and a mesh bag for storage and traveling.

Remington’s iCoffee Opus Review

Remington’s iCoffee Opus is a new Single Serve Brewer that features a spinbrew technology. What is Spinbrew? well, it’s what the needle does when you are brewing your coffee. The needle uses jets to spin, steam and stir the coffee.

iCoffee Opus is prefect for those who are always on the run and only want to brew one cup at a time. If you’re interested in a quality Brewer that is affordable then the iCoffee Opus is what you’ll looking for.

Here is a rundown of the features for the iCoffee Opus:

uses SpinBrew technology to spin, steam and stir
brews 10 ounces in less than a minute.
works with all varieties of K-Cup, RealCup, One Cup and private label cups
brew any size cup between 4 and 12 ounces in .5-ounce increments
reusable cup allowing users to enjoy the freedom of choosing their own coffee grounds

I’ll be honest, I’ve always used a stove top espresso maker, when I brew my coffee at home. I was a little skeptical, that this machine could actually duplicate the same great tasting coffee that I’m accustom. After sometime this machine has replaced my stove top espresso maker.

I’ve been brewing for almost two weeks now, I haven’t had a single bad tasting incident, no burnt, under or over size amount of water issues as well.

The iCoffee Opus makes great tasting coffee, when you use a high quality coffee blend. If you use a sub-par quality blend then expect the taste to mirror what you paid for.

There is going to be a ton a variations of coffees and tea cups to choose from. The option to choose the size of water, makes things easier, but as I found out, many coffees work best on a particulate size. I had a tea that tasted to water down, but the second time I brew it, I used less water, which made the difference.

The water reservoir is decently large enough that it will make 3-4 cups dependent on the size you regularly use before it would need a refill.

The iCup Reusable, which is included is a real money saver. It gives me the ability to use my own coffee. Many of these single serve coffee cups can become expensive, but with The iCup Reusable you can save a ton.

Simple to use: Not everyone is tech savvy, but lucky this machine is super easy to use. You simply fill the water reservoir until the fill meter, lock it into place. Then turn the machine on, press open, grab the k-cup or the iCup Reusable, then insert and close down the upper jaw. Then you just choose the size of coffee you want, from 4 to 12oz. It’s that simple.

Durability: The build quality of the product is solid. I’ve had this product now for almost three weeks, consistently brewing at least three times a day.

The only issue I had was that I can’t use any k-cup that would require cold water, as this only brews hot water. The only option is to put some ice cubes in the cup beforehand and as it brews.

Where to Buy: The price value for the iCoffee Opus will run you at a retail price of $139.99 dollars and it’s well worth it. Also if you’d like to check out some other iCoffee products, you may visit the Official Website: www.icoffee.com
