I enjoyed the game. Vampyr has a very slow pace, the combat needs a little polishing, but overall the game was entertaining. The story hooked me, right from the start.
The Xp needed to upgrade my powers between missions was small. I felt the game did so to tempt the gamer into killing folks. I did so early, and learned that many of my decisions have consequences. In killing and giving in to my urge, I set off a chain reaction, many of the people in that neighborhood were affected.
Vampyr has great atmosphere, it was very immersive, each street, building and clothing, captured that time period, which was London around 1918 perfectly. The combat becomes better as you upgrade and acquire new powers.
Overall, I truly enjoyed this game. Normally, I wouldn’t enjoyed a game that heavily relies on interrogation type gameplay, but in Vampyr it total worked.
Game Overview: London, 1918. You are newly turned Vampyr Dr. Jonathan Reid. As a doctor, you must find a cure to save the city’s flu-ravaged citizens. As a Vampyr, you are cursed to feed on those you vowed to heal.
